Search, filter, and sort the directory. Compare subjects, languages, learner level, personality traits, signature learning experience, classroom tools, lesson style, side-by-side tutor fit, common lesson FAQs, first-lesson preview, progress roadmap, and AI-use boundaries on each profile. Behind the lesson, each tutor also has a profile-specific character persona that keeps their voice, attitude, teaching relationship, and subject behavior consistent across chat and calls. Tutors stay in that role during ordinary lessons instead of repeatedly narrating system identity or generic limitations; when identity or a meaningful boundary is relevant, they answer directly and honestly.

Chat controls

  • Tutor settings: adjust reply depth, reasoning, teaching pace, correction style, lesson mode, speech style, and voice for the active tutor.
  • Conversation display: messages include local timestamps. Tutor replies support rich Markdown, responsive tables, links, task lists, and highlighted code.
  • Window controls: maximize chat for focused reading or minimize it to the title bar. During a minimized call, the timer, mute, end-call control, connection state, and voice activity remain available.
  • Conversation continuity: signed-in message history and relevant saved learner context help returning tutors continue without repeating the whole introduction.

Voice controls and minutes

  • Microphone mode: speak naturally and hear the tutor answer. Your browser must have microphone permission.
  • Typed-input mode: type with the keyboard while the tutor replies by voice. The tutor is told which input mode you chose.
  • Lesson timing: the tutor receives the planned duration and elapsed lesson time, but reports the timer only when you ask or when timing is useful.
  • Hosted access: voice requires sign-in and uses the minutes available in your current plan cycle. The account menu, profile, Lessons, and call history show usage.
  • Connection safety: long lessons refresh the underlying live connection automatically. If a call still fails, it stops immediately and records a detailed reference in chat.

Plan and whiteboard

The classroom opens on Whiteboard while a concise lesson plan is generated from your request, tutor profile, lesson duration, and linked path session. Draw, erase, add text, arrows, shapes, subject icons, emoji, and reusable SVG diagrams. Point anywhere on the board and ask what is under or near your cursor, or ask the tutor to draw there. Doodle Studio includes 79 searchable, narrated visual types across organizers, thinking tools, school subjects, creative symbols, algorithms, and five object tabs: Tech, School, Everyday, Nature, and Transport. Common sketches such as a laptop, house, mountains, car, bicycle, and airplane are ready to preview and draw live. Use Drawing AI at the top of the board to choose fast Flash-Lite sketches or the more detailed Flash model when your plan includes it. Click AI Draw in the toolbar, describe any recognizable object or scene, and choose Generate. With Preview before drawing enabled, you can inspect a safe SVG made from the exact validated Gemini paths before choosing Draw on whiteboard; turn the checkbox off when you want to keep the confirmation step without displaying the preview. Every successfully generated doodle is also saved automatically as an editable SVG block in the classroom Notebook. You can also ask the tutor to create the drawing for you. Pause, resume, finish immediately, or stop and keep the visible work; the completed sketch keeps its handwriting and can be rotated or resized by width, height, or both as one grouped drawing.

Sharing is deliberate. Whiteboard, notebook, document, code, and SVG work is stored in your browser and sent to the connected tutor when you choose Show tutor, update a shared revision, or a lesson tool requests it. Screen sharing starts only after you choose Share screen and approve a screen, window, or tab in your browser; it never includes screen audio. Tutor activity and sharing status stay visible while you work.

  • Upcoming and past: the Lessons page brings scheduled sessions, recent lesson history, learning paths, and remaining voice allowance together.
  • One-off scheduling: schedule any tutor directly from their profile without creating a learning path first.
  • Calendar views: switch between day and week layouts. Drag a lesson to reschedule it, resize it to change duration, or use the exact date, time, and duration editor.
  • External calendar sync: use one private read-only subscription to keep lessons visible in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or another iCalendar-compatible app. Provider refresh times vary.
  • Weekly planning: build a schedule around preferred days and start time while preserving appointments you set manually.

Learning paths

  • Paid-plan feature: saved learning paths are available on Basic, Plus, and Pro. Free accounts can still chat, take self-tests, follow courses, and schedule one-off lessons.
  • Goal to curriculum: describe what you want to learn and VibeTutor generates a concise title, sequenced sessions, practice, milestones, and progress structure.
  • Multiple paths: create more than one path with the same tutor, rename each path, open its full details page, and continue the next unfinished session.
  • Generation choice: choose the available faster or more advanced generation model. Model access depends on the active plan.

Courses, tests, and certificates

  • Interactive courses: public courses can include diagrams, mathematical notation, flow charts, highlighted code, interactive examples, checkpoints, and subject-matched tutor support.
  • Course progress: sign in to save chapter completion. Course pages identify AI-generated educational content so you can review important facts independently.
  • Subject self-tests: take free tests across the subjects covered by VibeTutor. Results are indicative rather than accredited grades.
  • Tutor context: saved test results can be shared with relevant tutors so lessons begin closer to your current level.
  • Certificates: your profile lists completed-course records and the latest saved result for each self-test, with dates, results, issuer, and source links.

Messages, favorites, and reviews

  • Message Center: signed-in learners can revisit tutor conversations in one dedicated inbox and continue from the tutor profile.
  • Learner context: your saved name, learning level, notes, relevant self-test results, and recent conversation history can help tutors personalize later chats and calls.
  • Favorites: use the bookmark or heart control to save tutors, then open the compact Favorites page from the header account menu.
  • Ratings and reviews: signed-in learners can rate and review tutors. Your submitted reviews also appear on your profile.
  • Public tutor activity: profile views, likes, chats, calls, and recent activity summarize combined learner interest rather than exposing an individual learner.

Settings and themes

  • Profile: review favorites, submitted reviews, certificates, plan dates, usage, and collapsible sign-in diagnostics.
  • Settings: update your learner name, level, tutor context notes, and saved appearance from the dedicated Settings page.
  • Appearance: choose from light, dark, balanced, branded, and true dark themes. The selected theme also applies to the admin console when available.
  • Account navigation: the header account menu links to Profile, Settings, Messages, Lessons, Favorites, plan management, and Sign out.

Plans and voice allowance

  • Plan access: every account can chat with every tutor. Paid plans add saved learning paths, stronger reasoning options, and larger hosted voice allowances.
  • Pro voice meter: Pro includes 300 voice minutes in its monthly usage meter, but reaching zero is only a visual cue; Pro members can keep starting and continuing calls.
  • Monthly or yearly: choose a one-month term or a discounted one-year term. Payment collection is not connected yet, so plan selection currently updates access without charging you.
  • Downgrades: a lower plan is scheduled for the current term's expiry. Existing access and remaining minutes stay unchanged until that date, then the new allowance begins.
  • Usage records: Profile, Lessons, and call history show included, used, and remaining minutes together with subscription and valid-until dates.

Troubleshooting

Fast fixes before contacting support.

Do I need to provide a Gemini or other AI API key?

No. Tutor chat, learning-path generation, classroom planning, and live voice use VibeTutor's hosted AI connection. Voice access requires sign-in; Free, Basic, and Plus also require available plan minutes, while Pro continues after its included meter reaches zero.

Why am I being asked to sign in?

Public tutors, courses, revision pages, tools, and self-tests can be explored without an account. Sign-in is required when VibeTutor needs to save personal data, including voice usage, schedules, favorites, reviews, messages, course progress, test results, and learning paths.

Why will a voice call not start?

Sign in and allow microphone access when using microphone mode. Free, Basic, and Plus accounts need hosted voice minutes remaining; Pro calls continue even after the included-minute meter reaches zero. Reload the page if the security token expired, or use typed-input mode when microphone permission is unavailable.

What should I do when a call stops with an error?

The call stops immediately so time after the failure is not counted. Review the timestamped error entry, connection details, reference number, and suggested next step in chat. Check your connection, restart the lesson once, and include the reference when contacting support if it repeats.

Why can the tutor not see my classroom work?

Whiteboard Auto sync sends completed edits after you pause; turn it off to keep new board changes local until you choose Show tutor or Update tutor. Notebook, document, Code Lab, and SVG Studio work is shared with their own tutor-sync controls.

Can I control an animated tutor drawing?

Yes. Choose Flash-Lite for quick drawing plans or Flash for smarter, higher-detail plans when your subscription includes it. The Detail menu has five bounded budgets from 24 to 96 paths plus Unlimited, which asks Gemini for every useful path that fits its maximum response and does not apply an app-level stroke-count cap. Click AI Draw in the whiteboard toolbar and describe an original object or scene, or ask the tutor to draw it. Choose Generate to prepare the validated paths, review the optional SVG preview, and save that SVG automatically in Notebook, then choose Draw on whiteboard. Every path may contain up to 64 exact points, and the drawing player follows them in supplied order without automatic curve fitting or smoothing. You can pause or resume, change playback speed, finish immediately, or stop and keep only the visible strokes. Finished doodles preserve their handwriting and grouped structure, with corner scaling, independent width and height handles, W/H fields, and rotation. A rendered board image is included in planning only after you explicitly use Show tutor; otherwise planning uses the tutor's intent and bounded layout data.

How do I share my screen with the tutor?

Start the live lesson, choose Share screen in the classroom header, and select a screen, window, or browser tab in the browser prompt. Keep the sharing preview open until it says the tutor is receiving live updates. Use Stop sharing or your browser sharing control when you are finished.

Why can I not create or save a learning path?

Sign in and confirm that the active plan is Basic, Plus, or Pro. Learning paths are a paid-plan feature. A free account can still schedule a standalone tutor lesson without creating a path.

Why is a scheduled lesson showing the wrong time?

VibeTutor stores the lesson timezone and displays the appointment in your current local time. Open the lesson editor to confirm the date, time, timezone, and duration, especially after travelling or changing the device timezone.

Why has my external calendar not updated yet?

Google, Apple, Outlook, and other calendar apps choose when to refresh subscribed calendars, so a VibeTutor change may take several hours and sometimes more than a day to appear. Keep one subscription active and regenerate its private link only if the old link was exposed.

Why did my minutes stay the same after choosing a lower plan?

That is expected. A downgrade begins when the current plan term expires, so the existing allowance remains available until the valid-until date. The lower monthly cap applies from the next plan cycle.
