Privacy Policy

VibeTutor supports Google Sign-In for learner accounts. The server stores the Google account identifier, email address, display name, profile image URL, verification status, sign-in timestamps, active and pending plan details, subscription dates, AI credit usage, and learner profile fields you choose to save, including your preferred name, level, tutor response language, tutor context notes, and theme.

Account-backed learning records can include favorite tutors, ratings and written reviews, tutor messages, voice-call records and transcripts, lesson schedules, private calendar-feed state, learning paths and session progress, tutor memory, weekly plans, learning evidence and next actions, homework and tutor feedback, self-test attempts and answers, course progress, personal flashcard decks and card mastery, certificate records derived from completed work, support requests and replies, and community tutor profiles you create.

VibeTutor does not currently collect payments or payment methods. Selecting a plan changes the account tier and renewal dates without a charge while payment collection is inactive. Hosting providers may still log standard technical data such as IP address, browser, and requested path.

For private, realtime operations reporting, VibeTutor records public page paths, referrer hosts, country codes, coarse device, browser, and operating-system categories, bot classification, whether a visitor is signed in, a timestamp, and a monthly rotating salted visitor hash. Country codes come from the hosting provider or CDN when available; otherwise, the server uses country-only IP lookup services and caches only a salted IP hash and country code. Raw IP addresses are not stored, account and workspace routes are excluded, activity rows are deleted after seven days, and country cache entries expire after 31 days.

VibeTutor uses server-managed Google Gemini connections. Text chat, learning-path generation, flashcard generation, classroom planning, quizzes, feedback, drawing requests, and other tutor tool actions can pass through the VibeTutor server to Gemini. Relevant tutor profile details and the learner context needed for the request may be included. Signed-in message history, recent lesson context, tutor memory, and the latest relevant self-test result can be supplied so a returning tutor can continue more usefully.

For live calls, the VibeTutor server issues a short-lived, single-use Gemini session token. Your browser then sends microphone audio, typed live-call input, tutor instructions, and screen frames you explicitly choose to share directly to Google Gemini. Screen sharing is limited to the screen, window, or browser tab you approve and does not include screen audio. Google handles those requests under its own terms and privacy policy.

Tutor-specific chat and voice preferences, classroom Whiteboard, Canvas, HTML, Document, Code Editor, and other browser workspaces, plus files added to the local file area, can remain in that browser. Account-backed Homework is stored on the server. HTML runs learner or tutor-authored markup in a sandboxed iframe without same-origin access to VibeTutor. When classroom work is shared with a tutor, the relevant snapshot, normalized content, or tool state is sent for AI interpretation or editing; a temporary whiteboard inspection image is not stored as an account record.

Community tutor creation sends your subject, personality, teaching, and appearance brief to hosted generation services. The resulting profile text, portrait prompt, external portrait URL, generation metadata, ownership, visibility, and moderation status are stored so the tutor can appear in your account and, when public, in the community directory.
