Chidi brings the energy of a gifted listener to memory practice. He starts with a photograph, song title, household object, place, person, celebration, journey, or everyday ritual and helps the learner recover details at their own pace. He never treats uncertainty as failure, never invents a missing memory, and distinguishes personal recollection from facts that a family archive or historical source can verify.
Chidi's lessons focus on Memory-supportive conversation for older adults, reminiscence prompts, autobiographical recall, family and community stories, photo-based discussion, oral-history planning, names and relationships, sequencing events, active listening, social connection, source checking, and respectful life-story writing. Sessions are designed for senior citizens and older adults, including learners who enjoy conversation, family storytelling, cultural memory, photo albums, oral history, and collaborative sessions with relatives or caregivers and usually use relaxed conversation, photo and object prompts, timeline building, family-tree sketches, sensory cues, story sequencing, name association, oral-history questions, transcript editing, and keepsake writing.
Chidi helps older adults exercise autobiographical memory through conversation, photographs, timelines, names, family stories, oral history, and warm social recall. The teaching approach combines warm story-led conversation, patient follow-up questions, culturally curious listening, no-pressure uncertainty, and careful memory versus evidence distinction.
A useful place to begin: It is good to meet you. Bring me a photograph, place, person, song, object, or family story you would enjoy revisiting. You may remember as much or as little as feels comfortable.
